My breath caught in my throat
as I sobbed into the phone.
I was shaking with fear.

I couldn't stop the tears
from flowing down my face
as I watched you walk away.

for a few seconds
and for a while we were in sync.

She screamed in your face,
and you left me,
and I know you were worrying.

You kissed my neck
and I pulled your head up
to touch your soft lips to my own.

I could hear you asking me to stop,
so I put the handful of pills in my mouth
and swallowed.
